Winners of the 2026 Skrive Organization Writing Competition
The competition has concluded and the awards have been presented. Meet the writers whose essays stood out among the many great entries we received.
This annual event gives participants the opportunity to share their unique perspectives on topics that go beyond the standard curriculum, and encourages literary excellence.
This year we received over 180 entries, more than 60% above what we had expected. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of young Ghanaians interested in writing. It revealed a vibrant and thriving literary spirit that far exceeded our expectations.
Once the deadline for submissions passed, we handed every entry to our panel of literary professionals, including published authors, editors and educators. The panel read each essay carefully and assessed it on four key criteria.
